What are cold-drawn pipes and hot-rolled pipes? What are their differences?

Answer:

  • Hot-rolled pipes: Processed at high temperatures, usually with large diameters, relatively rough surfaces and large wall thickness tolerances.
  • Cold-drawn pipes: Drawn through dies at room temperature, with high dimensional accuracy, good surface finish and stronger mechanical properties, usually used for precision machinery or decorative purposes.
